This guide will help you to learn to do it your self. You will be able to understand fittings from other players and why it is how it is. I will show you easy stuff in Nullsec but also the advanced variants, aswell the legal "exploited" Stuff.
Combat Anomelies
Nullsec starts with Tier 4 and ends with Tier 10 aka Sanctum. In Short, higher tier leads to higher reward aka bounty payout. In the long run you want to choose a tier which leads to a nice escalation. Once you complete the site there is little chance off:
Faction Spawn, which can drop some nice loot but doesn´t need to.
Escalation, lead to more "challanging" task with maybe nice loot.
Beside the above you can max your profit by looting and salvage the Wrecks. Thats where you use the Mobile Tractor unit :)

Some Escalations are harder than other depending on the Faction. For example the Antimatter Channeler :P
Or the Gurista Fleet Stronghold
But Kane, its 2023 why people still die to it the mechanic didn´t changed for long time. This the point of this Guide... you need to understand what your fit is capable off and what not. Since escalation are kind of rare, we first will continue to get them.
Who is the King?
Haha, jeah this depends on what. If you want to do something active or count the Missle cycle....
But you actualy want semi AFK thingi, because this shit is sooooo boring.
So any drone boat will do it but the Ishtar is just King. You can also take a Vexor, Vexor Navy or Myrm. Most of the Ships will lead you into a Heavy Assault Cruiser. (Gallente Crusier V)
So i repeat the semi AFK King is the Ishtar. By Price, DPS and sustainability.
BUT KANE HOW THE FUCK DO I FIT the ISHTAR?
You know this Paper, Stone bla bla game? Same your Nullsec Region will belong to a Faction. Like Gurista, Angel, Sansah ... etc
and guess what... Gurista shoot mainly Kinetic and little bit of Thermal. Let´s assume you are in Deklein and face Gurista.
They will shot you with Kinetc... YOU will shot them with Kinetic aswell. But since we know they shoot Kinetic... we will TANK Kinetic.
Guess WHAT... THE NPC ARE SO dumb they can´t change the fitting so for Gurista it will be KINETIC FOREVER EVER EVER EVER.
KANE, how much active TANK do i need?
Right call... we don´t go buffer since we probably want to run multiple sites. So easy is kind of upto META 5 (T2 Module) active Tank. Alternative is Passive Shield Fit. Doesn´t matter if you want to go Shield or Armor. Expect you look on DPS than Shield since your lows are free for Damage and Drone Tracking.
And if you want to go SEMI AFK, you try to fit kind of cheap because since you AFK the drone attack against a player is kind of random.
If you want to do it on paper you can take the amount of the NPC, get their DPS numbers and start putting them togheter so like Wave 2 comes with 3k DPS after 90 Resistance this will be 300 DPS which you need to Tank. Every NPC you kill will reduce the incomming DPS (this no brainer isn´t it? For Example we done the same with Wormholes, so if you fuck up the trigger you may end up with total incomming DPS of "enter big number here".
What to do know?
Warp side, oribt(NOT a NPC) , wait for red box, drop drones. Wait until no more NPC spawn. Collect drones, repeat with next site.
Thats it...Standard T2 Fit maybe some META 4. From here you can say like i am watching my Ishtar with one EYE... i probably could do some PVP. So you fit some Neuts, swap to active armor with a reactive hardner... Its not like you can take 10 peeps, but single roamer shouldn´t be problem.
So with this Standard T2 Gurista fit you can go Tier 10 Sanctum. And for Gurista you don´t need to be scared of the Dread. (Other Factions other Dreads are more scary ....)
NOTE: Tier 9 & 10 have a chance to spawn a NPC Dread.

4x Smartbomb BS (AOE)
Marauder (Kronos->Paladin->Golem/Vargur)
These Ships cost like 20x to 200x more than an Ishtar. If you grow your ISK & Knowledge I don´t need to guide you here.
Active means you need to do something and since shit is expensive your ship is on dinner plan for Groups which just in special hunt your playstyle. (Some ships, if flown correctly, aren´t catchable... a pre alignd Super without this stupid Network Array should be uncatchable.

You are in the middle of shark infested water and you cut your finger for more fun. Same here... hunters see you and maybe come for you. Since you need a Capital to active it this considers for me as well as endgame ^^ See above.
So I got this Escalation, what to do now? Escalation from higher Tier need more specialized Ships.
---> Also you need to maybe travel from A to B, so T3 with travel fit is maybe a good choice.
Since you know the name of the Escalation you can search what to expect from this site. Like Neuts, Massive DPS, Capital Tropedos or 50km heavy WEB Range etc...
The workflow is mostly the same, there is main damage type you need to tank and some vanilla flavor like WEB, NEUTS.... So If there is NEUT Tower this probably the first thing you want to kill. Since its shutoff your Tank or your Afterburner.
As said above stuff is super old and didn´t got changed a lot. So if it shoots you with capital torps... YOU WANT:
bit of moving
small signature
High resistance
Lets make some example to a 10/10 Gurista Escalation aka The MAZE
The Site will take your moving but won´t touch your Signature or your resistance.
I personally use a Proteus, but Tengu is very common as well. The Tank here should be around ~2k but i need to double check it because the current FIT from my corpy is very overtanked. The 2K are for Cruiser Size.. if you go bigger for whatever reason stuff will probably apply more damage which requires more Tank... also BS warp sooo slow :P

Meta 4-5 Active Tank is totally enough
Combat anomilies are boring as fuck
But they can lead to so much more.....
The ESS can provide kind of PVP content to you
