I was pretty excited when I read the notes on log-in, I certainly enjoy the gameplay elements that appear out of the blue.

By now, you'll only find those sites in the furthest reaches of HS, if you're lucky lol
Aside from the usual problem of starting a site as an Alpha only to get an Omega come in and steal your work easy peasy with CCP's thanks.
Yeah, that is always a problem during these kind of events. My suggestion is to try and find a WH that will take you out to a HS island or Solitude. Somwhere you can farm with reduced likelihood for people just dropping Battleships in to snipe
