We know that there are already EVE glossaries out there, but let's be honest, they don't always reflect what you see in the chat. All internet communities gather specialist terminology, MMOs more than most, and EVE more than most MMOs. Understanding the lingo is an important part of helping newer players feel welcome, so we have started putting together our "informal" glossary of EVE. And now it's once again time to expand it.

Task: Define a piece of essential in-game terminology and get $1

• Remember to check the existing glossary to make sure your EVE terminology hasn't already been included (we recommend Ctrl + F)

• Create a written submission, defining a key piece of EVE vocabulary. Use the following format:

"Ganking (verb): An economically viable form of destroying enemy ships in high-sec before CONCORD can arrive, often via means of self-destruction. A morally questionable act, but when done right, a highly profitable one."

After the deadline has closed, we’ll select 25 winners, give each of them $1, and create the first part of a multi-part glossary that showcases your contributions!
