If anyone has ever heard of the cancelled Netflix show 'Everything sucks', I think it was one of the best depictions of the awkward, uncertain and uncomfortable nature of maturing and being a teen. Along with its LGBTQ+ representation, it is one of few pieces of modern media that truly captures how awkward it can be to be a teen, to assume you know everything to find out you know nothing! Unfortunate this show only lasted one season

The casting was one of few that also felt attainable, pretty much all of the actors felt like they were accurate depictions of teens, which is rare for much modern media. That is definitely something I valued in the show, as I watched it when I was a similar age to the characters and didn't feel like they portrayed something unattainable. This along with its LGBT representation really makes a case for it being renewed, providing something we dont get anywhere else.

It also had some great up-and-coming actors in it that I believe didn't get to show the full extent of their abilities.

Immediately off the top of my head, Dexter (New Blood) needed longer back on the box. Without going into detail about it's ending, I was annoyed!

I would like to bring back Lockwood & co. as it felt like a cross between the Phasmaphobia video game and Blades in the dark TTRPG. It had a good story and there were lots of interesting things going on and I would love to see more of the world building.

Stargate Universe

Sadly it was cancelled after the second season and I still don't understand why. It was such a refreshing take on the SG universe with it's main setting being a ship. The characters were very well written and the actors, especially Robert Carlyle and Ming-Na Wen did an outstanding performance.

I wouldn't even mind that the series got cut short, but what makes me fuming is, that to find a rushed conclusion they had to alter the originally planned cliff-hanger ending of season 2.

Spoiler warning here if you haven't watched the series yet!

Season 2 ended with the main protagonist Eli being the only one still awake on the ship as everyone else had to hibernate due to them running out of supplies with no inhabited planet in sight.

The original plan however was for Dr Rush to be the one who gets to watch over the ship's systems and given the previous events of the season we know that he had a lot of conflict with the rest of the team and the consciousness of his beloved lady has been transferred into the ship's systems. There were hints that he had plans. Plans which the others would have not approved of. I want to know what they were, I want to see him cause chaos!

Definitely A league of their own (the 2022 series). It built really well on the film and had some of the best LGBT rep i've seen in a LONG time. Also explores ideas of intersectionality really well. The story is amazing but I feel like they assumed they were getting another season because so many plots are unfinished by the end! So frustrating that they cancelled it grrrrrr
