Benedict Cumberbatch

He always seems to play quite serious and dramatic roles.

I'd love to see him do a buddy-cop sorta thing.

I'd love to see not just one but two actors! Mark Wahlberg and Jason Statham, break out of their typecast roles and star together in the same film. In my view, Mark often portrays the disoriented ex-CIA agent grappling with a life-altering events, while Jason typically plays the tough guy known for his violent approach to everyone's noses.

Imagine them both in a completely different genre: a heartwarming romantic family movie. Picture them as heads of neighboring families who are learning to coexist. Their on-screen lives would be filled with scenes of their kids playing together, engaging in everyday hobbies (definitely no martial arts!), and family trips. The central conflict they'd face would be something more grounded and relatable, like navigating the complexities of family dynamics, with a focus on solutions that don't involve any violent action.

It would be a refreshing change to see these actors in roles that explore the nuances of family life and human relationships.

I think Sydney Sweeney needs to be put in a role that she is not mainly perceived as beautiful. Of course she will always be beautiful, she is beautiful , but she is too-often typecast as a stereotypical blonde bombshell, and to really expand her acting career I think she should pursue a role akin to that of Angelina Jolie in Girl, Interrupted, where she is morphed out of the standard beauty/over-sexualised woman and into something more raw and real, which I feel she has the potential for.

Ryan Reynolds needs to drop the funnyman act.

Look, I love him. I adore most films he's done, including the mediocre received The Change-Up. Even if he is a nepo baby, he has a huge range of talent, not that you could glean much from his filmography. Serious roles in Life (2017) and Buried (2010) show he can do anything he puts his mind to, he just needs more of them.

Part of the problem lately comes from the fact that star power is on its last legs, and IP reigns king. Studios are willing to take risks less than ever, so if we see him in a movie, he's probably going to be the funny lead heartthrob for a while longer. The way to solve it would be more bums in cinema seats for independent and left-field movies and fewer in superhero movies. We have the power to change the entire landscape, but only collectively.

Alexa Demie

She has great acting potential, yet all the roles i've seen her in it feels like she's playing the same person. I'd love to see her go in the same direction as Margot Robbie when she took 'I, Tonya' to get away from her 'blonde bombshell' status'.
