Everyone needs to find time to go watch Extraordinary on Hulu in the US and some forms of Disney+ throughout the rest of the world. It turned into one of my favorite shows after the first season and I was absolutely giddy with excitement at the second season going up earlier this month. With how great this show is and how streaming services love to cancel cool shows (I'm still crying about 1899), I hope everyone can give this show a watch for a few episodes at least.
This occurs in a world where everyone gets a superpower at age 18. From flying, shapeshifting, passing through solid objects, invisibility, being a true empath, and even being able to cause orgasm by touch, there are a wide variety of powers in this world. The writing, directing, and acting are all top-notch. Each actor knows their role and is 100% committed. The main character actress Máiréad Tyers is fantastic and I cannot wait to see what else she does. While this is a strong comedy, it touches on all things from absurd to truly emotional and sad.
