Let's face it, if it's Star Wars, I'm watching it, period, end of story, I'm there, Star Wars is one of the greatest cinematic creations in history for me, I highly doubt it will ever die :P

There are already 6 films about Darth Vader from childhood to death.

Don't let Mickey Mouse touch what is holy. Episodes 7 - 9 are already sacrilege.

Darth Vader's actual screen time in the Star Wars movies is surprisingly small. Across all films and TV shows, he's estimated to have about 74 minutes of screen time. Specifically, in the original trilogy, he appeared for only 34 minutes (~9%):

  • 8 / 121 minutes in "A New Hope"

  • 12 / 124 minutes in "The Empire Strikes Back"

  • 14 /131 minutes in "Return of the Jedi"

I believe the existing films have only scratched the surface of Darth Vader's character. Beyond his intimidating presence, there's so much more to explore about his thoughts, feelings, and motivations. Most of the time, he's portrayed almost like a Terminator, swinging lightsaber and commanding, with very little dialogue. His spoken lines don't delve deeply into his psyche. There's a rich inner world and complexity to Vader that's yet to be fully explored on screen.

I'm more of a casual Star Wars fan, so I feel like I can enjoy the movies without worrying about everything being 100% accurate. I've seen all the movies and most of everything else there is to see. I still have to finish Kenobi and Andor.

I've also played KOTOR, Fallen Order, The Force Unleashed, and a little bit of Jedi Survivor.

Vader is always used fairly sparingly, so when he shows up it's an event. A whole thing. I hope they know what they're doing, so that this character remains special.

I love the idea of Vader's arrival being an event. They should have treated him more like a horror film villain.

This scene is a great example!
