Boromir: Nicolas Cage

Frodo Baggins: The Rock - because he is in every movie

Gandalf: Kevin Hart The wise wizard shrinks to a fast talking comedian with a high voice

Aragorn: Adam Sandler - The noble king now delivers heroic lines with goofy humor and lazy charm.

Legolas :Danny DeVito - The graceful elf archer turns into a short, grumpy, and bumbling character, he is so funny in always sunny

Gimli: Tom Cruise - The stout, rugged dwarf is now a clean-cut, intense action hero who does all of his own action stungs

Samwise Gamgee: Nicolas Cage The loyal Sam becomes wildly unpredictable with intense outbursts.

Saruman: Jim Carrey The menacing dark wizard is now a rubber-faced comedian with exaggerated expressions.

Galadriel: Megan Fox - The ancient elf queen is transformed into a modern, glamorous figure

Elrond: Mike Myers - The stern elf lord becomes a quirky, comedic character with a wink

Gollum: Zac Efron The twisted creature is now disturbingly charming and oddly attractive.

I think it would be an expensive but interesting cast for sure!

Okay so I took a different spin for this bounty!

I thought for this bounty it would be funny to use actors who have been cancelled because of cancelled culture or just terrific things about them or how they are. it will really justify the bounty question where you say worstPossible cast.

1. Frodo Baggins would be played by Kevin Spacey. He is infamous for his controversies and he’d be a completely offputting choice for someone like Frodo who is innocent and noble.

2. Aragon would be played by armie hammer. Obviously he’s been cancelled recently because he has such a strong troubling presence. I think it’d be strange and unsettling for viewers to see him play Aragon.

3. Now, for Gandolf, I had to think for awhile. I think Mel Gibson because of his controversial past it would make him a really unusual choice to place someone who is wise and kind like Gandalf.

4. Alas I think because of this person’s recent behaviour it would make him an odd pick to be a gracious elf but Ezra Miller to play legolas would be an odd choice.

5. For Saruman, having Harvey Weinstein would be soo uncomfortable for viewers.

Of course, this list is super hypothetical and for this bounty! I don’t actually believe any of these people should ever work again!

Frodo is vain and not-so-bright hero on a perilous journey. Gandalf's with a very questionable intentions, Legolas Fast but lacks any elf-like grace AND wisdom, and leader with a violent streak, not exactly the noble king i mean at all - Aragorn!

• Sauron - Jack Black (I'd love to see him play a villainous role like Bowser again)

• Saruman - Randy Orton (someone with real military experience, just like Christopher Lee)

• Gollum - Greg Davies (his voice would be the highlight)

• Éowyn - Miranda Hart (another Miranda)

• Éomer - Antony Starr (the other guy from The Boys who's also a New Zealander)

• Theoden - Bill Bailey (he looks close enough to Bernard Hill)

• Denethor - Karl Urban (because the original actor for this role plays Billy Butcher's father)

• Bilbo - Mark Wahlberg (he looks like he could be related to the Frodo in this story)
