At Just About, we're working hard to create a space where everyone can come together, pursue their passions, and enjoy a positive community. We know that we can only achieve this in partnership with our members.

To be transparent and hold all ourselves accountable, we want to outline the expectations we have of our members, so that everyone can play their part in making Just About a great place to be. We also want to explain our core values, and the commitments we make to you, our members, and your communities.

Your commitments to the community

We ask every Just About member to follow these basic guidelines when using the platform.

#1 Content

Whenever you post a new discussion thread (or reply to an existing one), avoid sharing any illegal material.

As a general rule, only share content that’s suitable for - and relevant to - the community you’re posting in.

#2 Conduct

We want members to feel that they can embrace their individual personalities, and express themselves accordingly. With this, however, comes a responsibility to respect the viewpoints and personalities of other members.

You can also help us recognise and reward positive contributions by using the reaction system.

#3 Conversation

Make sure the content you post serves the conversation at hand, and keeps the experience positive for everyone involved.

When you're using reactions to celebrate content, please only do so to promote other member's contributions, and in the spirit of fair play.

How the rules are applied

We rely on a certain amount of automated moderation, which acts as our first line of defense in keeping Just About a positive experience for everyone.

For content that requires more hands-on intervention, Moderators will investigate according to our Moderator guidelines. Any action they take will be proportional to the infringement.

If required, actions taken might include:

• A friendly nudge in the right direction.

• A warning against the account.

• Editing or outright removal of the content in question.

• Removal of roles or other privileges.

• A temporary account pause.

• Permanent closure of an account.

We’ll develop Just About in an open manner, and take ownership of the platform decisions we make for the wider Just About community.

#2 Fairness

Whenever issues or conflicts are flagged with us, we pledge to investigate them in an even-handed manner that gives all sides a fair hearing.

#3 Transparency

We display the revenue earned by each community in its own unique treasury, and then share that revenue with our content creators and community members.

#4 Collaboration

We welcome your feedback, will respond quickly wherever possible, and work with you to improve existing features as well as develop new ones.
