Community spaces aren’t working - that’s clear to see from this week’s events.
We really believe that the time is right for change. The more we speak with community members, content creators, moderators, and brands, it’s clear there’s a real dissatisfaction with the status quo. They’re taken for granted at best, exploited at worst.
We reckon we can help fix that. We want Just About to be the platform that truly respects, recognises, and rewards the creative talent and the fans who support and contribute to online communities. We’re talking about games right now, but it can be the same approach for Just About anything. This is just the start.
For me, it’s been so enjoyable to be building from scratch again, and I’m particularly proud that we’ve assembled such a talented team behind the platform. They’ve all been working passionately. I won’t say tirelessly, because we’re all quite tired right now. But the work they do is awesome.
I’m excited! If you want to get involved, please follow our progress, poke around with what we’re building, report any bugs you find and share Just About with anyone you think might get a buzz out of what we’re doing.
Our first real communities will be launched in the coming weeks, but for now, your help testing the platform in this Just About Just About (or JAJA!) community is very much appreciated.
Please let me and the team know any feedback you might have, and we look forward to sharing our proposed longer-term roadmap for your input very soon.
Rupert (Founder, Just About)
P.S. Oh, and we're incredibly sorry if you received an errant Notifications email earlier today. We pressed the wrong button. It won't be the last time we make a mistake, but we'll try not to do it too often!
