I’m torn. I’d been using PayPal for a long time, because it’s so universally accepted. However, a few months ago, my PayPal account got compromised and I had to jump through a bunch of hoops to regain access to my account and dispute the charges, only for PayPal to do nothing. I ended up contacting my bank directly, and they were able to help get the situation sorted out.
All that to say, I’ve been considering dropping PayPal altogether, and I’ve been trying to figure what, if anything, to use in its place.
We’re beginning payouts via PayPal just because it seemed simplest to go with something most people are familiar with, and plan to add more alternative methods as we go along.
But I’m still surprised that it’s quite so universal, although of course our Alpha group isn’t a representative sample just yet ie. Of all geographies and ages…
