Does one of the options above cover Just About [game/franchise name], or is that just assumed? 😅

Yes I'd expect people would want to follow communities for specific games/franchises rather than genres. There are definite exceptions to this however, with the Fighting Game Community being the most obvious example.

But I believe people will want to have communities where they see posts/articles/discussions/guides for one particular game. Although the tagging system could assist with that for more general communities 🤔

I was imagining that each Franchise/etc would have their own Just About too FWIW...

Individual communities for sure. However, there needs to be a real draw to fill them up or they will languish and die quickly. It also depends on the game and whether it's the type of game where the community really want to talk and not just play the campaign and move on to the next game. Single player and multiplayer options in whatever game can determine this and of course what type of shooty game it is.

I think game fans would prefer their own individual communities.

While Just About is building up its membership a genre community may make sense, but in the end fans of a game won't want to scroll through heaps of other game posts to find content that's relevant to them.

Genre communities may be useful for game recommendations, update announcements and tech related discussions.
