Hey folks, hope you all had a great weekend! Here’s what’s been going on on Just About lately.

EVE Fanfest and bounties

As all Just About EVE members no doubt know already, it’s Fanfest time! This year’s celebration of EVE and its community is the biggest yet, in honour of the game’s 20th anniversary, and we’re joining the celebrations with a selection of EVE-related bounties. Head over here to check them out. Our very own Alex will also be joining the party later this week, so be sure to say ‘hi’ if you happen to find yourself in Reykjavík.

EVE fans may also have noticed that Stage One of our ambitious ‘mystery’ bounty has received a winning submission and has now closed. Congrats to the community and especially the winner, Wadd Enderas, for some incredible detective work! You can check out Wadd’s channel for a couple of videos setting out their journey through our fiendish puzzles.

And of course, where Stage One passes, another will follow. Keep an eye on Just About EVE for the next chapter very, very soon…

Platform updates

Our diligent tech team has put out another update; here’s a quick rundown of what’s changed.

Emails

• New emails will be sent when submitting to a bounty or when a member’s access is revoked (hopefully you won’t see this one!)

• Copy tweaks to all email notifications

Misc

• Thread titles can now span a total of three lines

• Platform buttons are now in sentence case

Bugs and optimisations

• Various font issues have been fixed, including on share buttons and menus

Bug-hunt bounties will be making a comeback shortly, but in the meantime you can drop a reply below if you see something behaving strangely.

Who’s the new guy?

One final change you might have noticed - I’m not the usual person sharing these updates!

Hi! I’m Jason, but most people call me Boomer despite being firmly of the millennial generation. I joined Just About last week as our new community manager, and hopefully I’ll get to know many of you over time. In the meantime you’ll probably see me zipping around the platform dropping updates and answering questions, so feel free to say hi!
