Instagram is launching a podcast, which it says will present “the latest on culture - from memes and icks, to fashion and friendship - all from your favourite celebrities.”
We’re all used to platforms speaking to their members about the platform itself, and the service it provides. It’s less usual to see them make content about other topics just like regular creators do. Social Media Today interprets it as a play for cultural relevance, but maybe it’s also a clever way to package Instagram’s messaging in a format their members want to listen to?
