Hey folks
We hope you had a lovely festive holiday! Just About was as active as ever over the break, with lots of you getting involved in our experimental festive bounties as well as sharing sparkling conversations of your own. For our first Feature Friday of 2024, we thought we’d round up some of the standout members and discussions from the last couple of weeks, in case you missed them
To kick things off, we ran a Christmas-themed treasure hunt throughout Just About, with each member becoming a festive Santa hunter. The replies might read like they’ve all had a bit too much eggnog, but they’re on Mŷs Tæ Rae’s nice list.
Over in the Video Games community, Retro Stu led us down a celebration of video game voice acting, and with other members pitching in it became a shortlist of terrific games featuring voice acting legends.
MURRRAAAAY then got us all dreaming up our ideal TV series-inspired video game, some of which I’m surprised don’t exist already. Check it out to have your own say on the show you’d want to see turned into a game and what it would be like. Following Mŷs Tæ Rae’s festive frolics, the Space Pope recorded their inaugural Christmas address, name-checking members of the EVE Online community right here on Just About. Even if you’re not an EVE player, this is a heartwarming example of the support that games and gaming communities can provide to one another.FUN INC and Shanna Alabel answered the call of a new type of in-game challenge bounty, destroying a ship from each of the four largest alliances in EVE Online. There’s an old saying: don’t poke the bear. We can only hope they survive any reprisals!
Dave shared his AI-driven content creation journey in the Content Creators community. While we have strict rules about the kind of AI content we allow on Just About, we believe it can have a place, and this two-part post shows how powerful these tools can be for supercharging your content creation process.
But AI is an enhancement for human creativity - it’ll never replace the real thing, as MURRRAAAAY demonstrated in their recent thread asking for tips on how to come up with content for your channel. Our Content Creators community responded with many helpful tools and suggestions that you might find helpful - and do jump in with your own if you have any to share! As you can see it’s been a busy holiday period, but the conversation isn’t over yet! You can still jump into any of these discussions and share your two cents. That’s it for now, so have a great weekend everyone, and see you in the replies!
