It's been a weird week...
The double whammy of Rooster Teeth closing and the passing of Akira Toriyama has made me feel a lot of things. We all get older and celebrity deaths are a thing. I remember when Michael Jackson died and I was working as a work experience in a pharmacy and it didn't really hit me.
Two years ago our queen died and the country was in mourning and again the effects of the scythe didn't scratch the surface.
However with RT and Toriyama-sensei's departure is sorta sentimental to me - they are both heroes and aspirations I grew up with, always had a presence in my life, and over the last few years of my adulthood I had grown out of, replaced with family and work responsibilities. Checking into see what the latest RT production was or DBZ canon was comforting to see things continue with or without you but now they are gone.
