Bank Holiday Plans (UK Edition)

It's the last bank holiday for May 2024 so what are ya plans?

I recently bought a bunch of games on sale from PS4 and Xbox 360:

We Love Katamari REROLL + Royal Reverie - my comfort game
Unpacking - the new kid on the block that I've been dying to try out
River City Girls Zero - I love the SNES graphics and I loved River City Girls so excited to try this out
Bully: Scholarship Edition - I've never played any Rockstar's 6th generation games so looking forward to this as I love Grand Theft Auto
Blue Dragon - Honestly I think I bought this for preservation reasons rather than to play soon

Lastly I'm still playing Yakuza Kiwami 2. Hopefully I can beat the caberet club grand prix this weekend as it has been consuming a lot of my Yakuza game time.

I moved house yesterday so we have (at least!) three days of unboxing, plugging things in, trying to figure out how everything works and more!

Very impressed with the UniFi wifi mesh (plug & play, pre-configured) which was my first task last night. Next up: a washing machine being installed!

Moving house is such a stress, I had to move so many times both in Hungary and here that I've lost count. Hopefully if we move next it would be to our own house and not something rented.

Everytime I move I keep saying to myself -

I must stop buying so much stuff.

Then when I need to move again the number of boxes multiplies and I'm dumbfounded as to why..

I feel this - it was my record and retro games stuff that were the heaviest and I just said no more, I can't keep moving this stuff!

Pandemic kinda helped me thin out my games stuff but I've just started buying records again - doh!

I have an FFXVI guide video to finish, plus also got quite a few seasonal events to finish in FFXIV before Dawntrail hits so probably it will be a Final Fantasy weekend (well which one is not that for me?) I'm for once grateful for the rain, was meant to finish that video last weekend but it was so nice I spent most of my time outside on the sun and done nothing productive. 😅

I'm off to see Furiosa tomorrow which I'm excited about. On Monday I'm not sure but I'm currently working through a new playthrough of Elden Ring in preparation for the DLC so if nothing else comes up it'll probably be that

My wife and I are visiting her mother who is house/dog sitting for another family member so we are spending the weekend giving two huge wolf huskies lots of attention, enjoying the sun and playing my GBA. Also today I am meeting up with our friends for a 2 vs 1 warhammer 40k game which should be fun.

I went to Petersfield yesterday... Got off the train at around 9:30am... Got back on around 8:45pm... So that was just over 11 hours of walking.

Plans are weather dependent at the moment, we've got a lot of wet weather here (though the sun is just peeking out now) - might visit a nature reserve or woodland for a walk and then I've got a lot of gardening stuff to do - already started the first mint harvest of the year yesterday!

DIY as usual. Going to be years to go before we get this house refurb finished. Getting a couple of hours tonight on the new Fortnite season but that's about it for things I actually want to do rather than need to do.
