Hi folks, it’s been an eventful few days here at Just About, so before we all get into weekend mode let’s take a quick look at what’s been happening over the past week.
Community Collab @ Develop Brighton
Over the last few days some of the JA team were at Develop, a UK games industry conference in Brighton. We hosted our third real-life event, bringing together members of the games industry who work in community and communications-based roles to share their wisdom. Keep an eye on the platform or on our socials for a quick rundown of what we learned!
Big fixes and optimisations
The main focus this week has been on how content is formatted and discovered. Headline changes include:
Content formatting
The bounty setter’s name is now included on the bounty feed cards. Thanks to EveOnlineTutorials and everyone else that shared feedback about this feature!
We’ve introduced ’created at’ and ’updated at’ text at the bottom of discussion posts
The position of the bounty details box has been centralised on the bounty card
Feed card images are now set to 16:9 for non-mobile screens, with mobile using a more appropriate aspect ratio
Content discoverability
When sharing discussions off-platform, embedded images now feature auto-generated metadata and a brief preview of the discussion text
Google can now index replies as well as the original discussion post, showing the world more of your excellent comments!
Share a great discussion or reply for Member Monday
Are there any member discussions or replies from the past week we should highlight in our Member Monday post? Post the link in the replies below and we’ll take a look.
Thanks all; have a great weekend and we’ll see you across the platform!
