I'll guess I share as well!
This was my first post in the New Year's Hopes thread if you're curious: here.
I'm actually very much an anti-resolution, "I'm perfect as I already am" sort of person, so it's funny for me to start such a series of thread xD But it's a nice opportunity to chat with everyone.
I've really been struggling with sleep, and so getting better sleep is the one thing I've put a lot of energy towards the last two weeks. I'm happy to report that while I still don't have good sleep, I'm having better sleep, and that's what matters. My sleep issues have both physical and mental causes, and so I've been working at practical solutions as well as trying to change my mindset. I hope that as time goes on and my morale improves, I will get even better sleep in the future!
Another big thing for me is fitness-- not weight loss, absolutely not weight loss, but overall mobility, stamina, strength, etc. I want to hike up Mt Olympus before the next five years or so, and I'm happy to report that I've been very consistent with my daily "beginner fitness" videos, as well as going on walks almost every day. I really want to start going on walks with a backpack too, even an empty one, but so far it still feels way too much somehow. That's my next step.
Then there's income generation and more nebulous trying new, fun things as well as make more friends parts. The first week of January saw one of my best friends lose their mum very suddenly, and even though I've been making a point to reach out to "nice people I know that I could talk more often to", a lot of my social energy went to that.
In terms of income, things have been very stressful, and I think I feel a little too vulnerable to share about it, really! So I will leave that hanging until next month.
I've learnt how to paint trees in watercolour, though, so there's that!
