So here is how I get around this
When I "submit" to a bounty I "like" the post - This way I know that any bounties that the community I am part of that have no "like" are the ones I haven't looked at or have yet to submit to.
It's a bit cumbersome but that's how I get around this.
its a good thing you figure it out.
