'Invent' a James Bond-style gadget!

The James Bond series has always been something special. It’s truly marvelous how so many directors and actors have come together over the decades to craft such a legendary line of films. And for all 007 fans out there, I have some very good news: while I’m under NDA and can’t reveal much just yet, you can expect a brand-new game announcement very, very soon.

While brainstorming ideas, I wanted to design a gadget that is stylish, useful, and realistic enough to actually exist.

An agent often finds themselves face to face with unfamiliar (and sometimes hostile) individuals, where knowing whether someone is speaking the truth or feeding disinformation is absolutely critical.

So I designed the Pen of Truth – a fully functional writing tool with a hidden microphone, touch-sensitive activator, and a pair of AI processors (NPUs). Once activated, it listens to the conversation and uses onboard AI to analyze speech patterns, tone, and vocal harmonics. The result is delivered via subtle haptic feedback: one pulse for truth, two for a lie.

For the prototype body, I chose a classic Montblanc pen. It’s elegant, substantial enough to house the tech, and perfectly in line with the taste of a refined operative. After all, can you imagine 007 pulling out a plastic BIC pen? Now that would raise suspicion.
