Hey everyone, happy Monday! It’s a short update this week, but contains some news that I think you’ll all welcome.
One of the major reasons why our automoderator has been so keen to flag innocent submissions for review is that it casts a very wide net in an effort to catch all non-whitelisted URL links. We’ve been able to tweak the parameters a bit, so those frustrating incidents should occur a little less often.
Emphasis on a little less. The impact should be noticeable, as we believe this issue to have been the biggest culprit, but JAutoMod is still tuned to be rigorous in other respects and for other reasons, which are also generating their share of false positives. We’re aware of these and feel that, during Beta, it’s best to start from a high base and steadily ratchet downwards until we find a sweet spot for our automoderator. That being the case, we’ll give the latest deploy a little while to bed in, see how it works and see how you all react to it, before considering further changes.
As always, reply in the comments if you’ve got any feedback on the change. Have a great week and we’ll see you around the platform!
