Disturbed started out singing about hearing Voices and being down with The Sickness and now they are always going on about finding A Reason to Fight for The Light. It's... odd.
Disturbed had a great sound on their first two albums, but I've not heard much since then.
No judgement intended, but maybe religion is a more prominent theme in their later music? The vocalist's wiki makes me think that might be the case.
That would track. Their first 4 albums are ones I can still play front to back without skipping. Asylum, the 5th, has some experimental aspects and I like about 60% of it. Everything since has been like, whaaaat�
