I agree, definitely the Realm system. I'm still figuring out the details, but every time I enter a portal, I discover a completely new, unseen world. The sky changes, the greenery is different, and the ancient buildings or strange abandoned structures create a true sense of exploration.

The graphics and textures are stunning, especially on max quality settings. However, if you're experiencing FPS drops during combat, switching to performance mode ensures smooth gameplay. The story is also quite interesting -I wish they would implement Nightingale Times for real!

I think everyone has already said what I would say in response to this question but they are all true. The unique card system to craft worlds, the unique creatures and the stunning scenery are all what makes Nightingale a beautiful game to behold. Much like others, I haven't had much of a chance to play it recently but I certainly look forward to when I can again!

One thing I love about Nightingale is their card system. I think it's a unique take on buffs and perks how different cards shape the world, Major cards changing biomes and types of realm(difficulty) and minor cards being buffs (2x output when crafting). Another thing I love about this game is that the crafted items actually reflect the material being used, its not a big thing but minor details just give you a certain level of satisfection. For instance, if the metals you are using are green(pursuit) for the trigger and purple (Einaidia) for the shaft then the gun you crafted will have a green trigger and purple shaft.

Nightingale was one of the first games I had on my Wishlist when I got my gaming laptop. What caught my eye with the game was the fae theme. I was intrigued with the realm jumping and I also really liked the look of game. I got a chance to playtest it before it came out and I loved every second of it. My favorite thing about the game is the fact that you can play with people and still have access to the world after they leave. It makes it easy to play when you don't have to wait for other people or when they don't want to play.

Okay, I think it's quite obvious that I really enjoyed the game—probably the best purchase of 2024 in the video game category for me. You can read my long review (a.k.a. love letter) in a previous bounty.

Ultimately, I like this project from all perspectives:

  1. Early Access Success: Launched as early access in February 2024, it was already a solid product with minimal bugs and enough content to cover all aspects of the game. It had a great start, something many AAA companies could be jealous of.

  2. Impressive UE5 Utilization: The game utilizes UE5 technology nicely, offering beautiful visuals and high FPS even on weaker machines, with very diverse graphics settings. And they jumped from UE4 mid-development.

  3. Developer Engagement: The developers, including the CEO, constantly communicate with the community, sharing news and future roadmap updates. Unlike big companies that often drop a roadmap and disappear for 6-9 months, here you see daily progress and rapid issue resolution.

  4. Tight-Knit Community: The community is nice and tight, something I already mentioned in my review.

  5. Crafting and Realm Systems: These systems are interesting and cater to both hardcore min-maxers and casual players.
