Many thanks to everyone who has submitted to this reward, we really do appreciate it. For many entries that have been shortlisted and in some cases marked participant, similar points of feedback apply, so we thought we'd drop a single comment here. If you're tagged, at least one of these points applies to you to some degree, but not necessarily all of them, so if you don't recognise one, don't panic!
In future highlight reel rewards, or any reward which calls for vertically oriented videos, or if you'd like to try again at this one, please consider the following:
Gameplay must be readable and not crowded out by static imagery; in certain entries, the gameplay was barely 25% of the screen space. We appreciate that most gameplay is captured in 16:9 (or in Rayman's case, 4:3, which should make this easier) and that it can be difficult to convert this to 9:16 (the smartphone ratio), but other creators get around this by zooming in on the footage. Try to do this while also ensuring we can follow the action.
Be mindful of the quality and variety of your gameplay clips. Clips in which Rayman is stuck fighting and losing against the same enemy multiple times, aren't fun to watch. Clips that are all set in the same level showing Rayman doing the exact same things can get a bit stale, even if those things are more exciting. The purpose of a highlight reel is to show exciting, varied, skilful gameplay. (Also, drawing all your gameplay from the same early levels is an indicator you haven't played much of the game.)
Always remember the golden rule: would you enjoy the content you're making? We appreciate that you're responding to prompts with cash prizes, but all content should be enjoyable to watch and it should be conceivable that it would exist on its own terms. Imagine you're a Rayman content creator and are making something with passion. With this approach, not only are you likelier to win top-tier prizes without waiting in the shortlist first, but you'll be likelier to win boosts, too.
There's more guidance on how to win more rewards in our How It Works article if you haven't read it yet.
