The Assault mode in SMITE 2 is a 5v5 mode that is faster and more frenetic than the game's usual 5v5 model. It takes place on a single track, where the main objective is to push back waves of minions, destroy enemy structures and ultimately defeat the Titan. In this mode, each player is given a random god at the start of the match (I'll tell you right away that I think this is really cool, as it's not only fun because it's a lighter mode, but it also allows me to try out new characters!), with the option of making a new roll once or even swapping gods with a teammate if necessary. Teams are generally balanced in terms of roles - if one team gets a healer, the opposing team also gets one - and each player starts with an extra 3000 gold, ensuring that at least one complete item can be bought from the start, it depends a lot on the strategy you want to make, but there's not much to it.
Once the match starts, there's no return to base (be aware that you'll be walking a lot), which means you can't go back to heal, replenish mana or buy additional items until you die and reappear (this makes the game faster and more fun. It's perfect for the mode). This rule forces teams to rely on their builds and the strategic use of consumables and healing items. Players must carefully select items that offer life-stealing, regeneration or anti-healing effects, as well as those that increase the team's survivability in prolonged fights. Betting on this strategy allows you to put pressure on the opposing team and still stay alive for a long time, without relying so much on a healer.
The map design is very unique. The mode is played on a modified version of Conquest's middle route, with two towers, a phoenix and the Titan. A random catalyst appears near the center of the track, which offers temporary improvements or even powerful effects. In addition, elements such as stealth zones, lane teleporters and an exclusive relic called Meditation add layers of strategy to the gameplay, rewarding teams that control the map and its resources (even so, I don't think this is what will define the game, but it can be important to have a slight advantage in teamfights for example, they will be very present throughout the match).
A complete team usually includes a tank, a healer and a mix of physical and magical damage dealers. The meta in Assault mode favors healing and sustain, so it's important not to reroll key roles such as healers or tanks. Items such as Amanita Charm for its active healing on the whole team, as well as sustain items such as Yogi's Necklace and Phoenix Feather are great for this mode, because of the impossibility of healing at the base. At the same time, anti-recovery items such as Divine Ruin, Brawler's Ruin and Ruinous Ankh can make a difference, especially when facing opponents who rely heavily on regeneration.
It's important to know how to farm waves of minions, as it's a gold that will make a difference in no time, so pressuring the opponent's lane is very good! Since dying is the only way to return to base, sometimes it's strategic to sacrifice a fight in order to rebuild your items and come back stronger. All in all, it's a fun mode and not as much work as the more classic modes. Play it seriously but without putting too much pressure on yourself, you'll enjoy it!

Assault gamemode
When we talk about assault we are referring to a lane with selected random gods, where any composition can arise, the gods who attack from a distance have an advantage over the melee, I recommend this game mode if you want to learn or discover new gods and know what they do in the battle of the gods. Below I will explain several important points to keep in mind.
Election phase
Not being able to choose the god, they give you an opportunity to do reroll and thus be able to choose another god that you like more, but you maybe get one that you like less. Likewise, if you lock a god later, it gives you the option to trade god with a teammate, as long as them accept the trade.
Early game
It depends on the character you have, you have to poke the enemy, try to make combos with different skills that you have in synergy team, you can also use a very useful relic that is only available in this game mode called Meditation, it provides you with a small area of healing regeneration and mana for you and your team.
You can take advantage of the central bushes to make a first ambush with your team, always being careful not to die without dealt any damage to the enemy team, but it is not always a good idea to do this.
Mid game
Take advantage of the team using the central buffs on the map, they regenerate in few minutes, they can give you orbs of boosts for a team member, a pyromant pump and even a fire giant dagger, this last boost can be decisive in a teamfight.
Use the heals that are located around the map between the tier 1 and tier 2 towers, although it is not a great heal or that much mana regeneration, they can be useful to continue holding off the enemy team.
Late game
Fight for the objectives, try to take advantage of every opportunity to destroy their towers. If you are a tank, don't hesitate to tank the objective to make way for your team to destroy it. Be the first to defeat the titan and you will achieve victory.
Items to keep in mind
Since you can't retreat to base, a Book of Thoth or a Transcendence is always a good option to maintain mana and continue using skills. You can also choose to buy a Divine Ruin or a Brawler's Ruin later on, in order to reduce the enemy's healing.
For gods who scale with intelligence:
For gods who scale with strength:
For tank gods and warriors:
These items are a very good choice for tanks and warriors, with Amanita Charm you can heal your team in a large area, it is almost a mandatory purchase with them.
The anti-healing item that tanks can buy would be the Ruinous Ankh, it creates an area of healing reduction around them and the Yogi's Necklace can also be a viable option since it can help you heal over time, thus surviving without being able to go to the base.
Personal Opinion
I highly recommend it as it is a calmer game mode without so much stress. You can have a lot of fun trying new gods or playing with characters you are not used to. For beginners it is very good game mode.

Assault is a smite gamemode similar ARAM of league where you and your team fight the enemy team in a 5v5 one lane brawl, but there is a catch, everyone is given a random god with the option to reroll or switch with your teammates.
Assault is in my opinion one of the most fun gamemodes becouse of the intrinsic casual vibe within its rules. Everyone is testing new gods and strange off-meta builds just for the purpose of having the most fun.
Another quirk of the gamemode is the inability to go back to fountain which means the only way for you to buy items and/or regenerate your healthbar in full is to go out in a blaze of glory fighting.
Some tips for newer players for this mode: Lifesteal is more worth in this gamemode as you have limited avenues of regenerating your HP, in that vein healing characters and anti-heal are crucial for an assault match. there are also orbs of healing allong the lane that provide an AOE heal to your teammates. I recommend pinging your team if you need one of the orbs giving your wounded teammates the ability to heal too.
and most importantly, have fun with the gamemode. Its not competitive, you don't need to worry about common smite etiquette so go wild and be godly.

Assault game mode overview :
Assault is a fast-paced, 5v5 single lane game mode where the goal is to push minion waves, destroy enemy structures, and defeat the Titan. Here’s a simplified breakdown of its unique features, strategies, and tip
Key features of assault :
Random god selection
Players are assigned a random god at the start.
One re-roll is allowed per match.
Teams are balanced; if one team gets a healer, the other team also gets one.
Players begin with 3,000 gold, enough to buy at least one full item.
No Base Recall :
- Once you leave the base, you can’t return until you die and respawn.
- Dying strategically is important to buy items and progress your build.
A random buff spawns near the middle of the lane like jungle buffs or the Fire Giant’s dagger.
Team composition tips:
Aim for a mix of roles: at least one tank one magical god and one physical god
Avoid rerolling healers or tanks unless absolutely necessary try trading them first.
Healers like Aphrodite, Ra, Yemoja, Baron Samedi, and Cupid are game-changers.
Itemization Tips
- Healing and Sustain Items:
Amanita Charm a must have for tanks heals allies every 60 seconds.
Yogi’s Necklace and Phoenix Feather*: Great for sustain.

Assault
Assault is a fast and fairly easy to understand game mode, it consists of a 5vs5 in a single lane where the only objective is to push the waves of minions until destroying the structures of the enemy team and being able to defeat the titan. In addition, this game mode has certain characteristics that differentiate it from the rest, such as:
Random God: Upon entering the god selection lobby, all players will be assigned a random god and will be offered the opportunity to re-roll their god once per match. Additionally, the game will balance the teams in a certain way that if one team has a healing god, the other team will also get one of the same tier.
Extra Gold: At the start of the game all players will have 3000 gold which will make it possible to buy at least one complete item at the beginning.
No Base: Once you leave your base you cannot return until you die and respawn, this makes it quite important not to die if you do not have enough gold to buy items
Random Buff: In this game mode there is no jungle, but there is an area near the middle of the lane where a random buff spawns. This can represent a great advantage when fighting since that buff can be anything from a simple jungle buff to the fire giant's dagger.
In this game mode it is important to try to maintain a balance in the team composition, trying to at least have a tank and a magical and physical DPS. It is also important to buy items that give you life theft or life regeneration to be able to stay alive as long as possible and be able to buy several items at once. Some good items for this are:
Amanita Charm: This is probably the best item for assault if you are a tank since its active makes you heal your allies every 60 seconds in an area on the ground.
Soul Gem: It provides you with percentage lifesteal and also gives you and your allies a burst of healing thanks to its passive.
Blood-bound Book and Bloodforge: These two items work in a similar way since only their statistics change but the active is the same, when using it it gives you a shield and 20% life steal for 6 seconds that can be very useful when it comes to staying alive in lane
Here is a good play I made with Aladdin in a assault game
