New Year, New Me! - as the saying goes. It's January which always sees a spike in new gym members wanting to shed those Christmas pounds. It's a wonderful thing to see people wanting to better themselves healthwise.
However the gym is an intimidating place and we don't want to be judged for doing an exercise wrong or taking up a machine.
So what tips do regular gym-goers have for those just getting started?
For me, it's to be consistent with it. Even if you go and do 10 minutes of the rowing machine and that's it. That's 10 minutes of exercise that you would not have done. As long as you go back and you do another 10 minutes or more the next day. Your body will slowly adapt and it'll become a habit.
