Dude, that is VERY cool! Would love to see a video of what its like moving!?
Id possibly pick a raspberry pi and make a little retro arcade gaming cabinet! would be cool to have on my setup somewhere!
You can absolutely have a little retro gaming cabinet! There are some great tutorials on the Raspberry Pi site.
The beauty of Raspberry Pi and similar platforms lies in their low power usage and versatility. It's definitely not just for single projects.
I've been using one since around version 2 (which is still operational, by the way!) and have implemented it in numerous projects. These include a Pi-hole, managing remote 3D printing, cryptocurrency mining, serving as a download manager, creating TV atmospheric lighting, and various home automation tasks, among others. Nowadays, my focus has shifted more towards a home server, virtual machines, Kubernetes, and containers.
is it me, or did everyone see this and then get uber excited about owning one of these, the question is, now where do I get one and how much do I need to suck up to my wife to pay for this?
