OK so the applications listed aren't as exciting as that, but holographic glasses still sound pretty cool!
The finding would also make applications where holograms are used — such as in VR and AR displays — more widespread because the display technology can be easier to use, lighter and ultrathin. Heide mentioned examples from getting directions while driving to assisting in surgery, and even seeing instructions about how to fix a leaky pipe.

My entry for tech I’m excited about is on AR glasses. There is one model I really like, but for $1000 it just doesn’t have enough features (like full screen mirroring)/the quality of features I want (like camera megapixel count).
I am keeping an eye on Vuzix though because I think they’ve got the right idea.
