Suggest your own tech-focused bounty ideas!

Eventually, we'd like to hand over all bounty setting to our community members. In the meantime, this is your chance to tell us about the bounties that you'd like to see. We regularly run bounties based on ideas from members, so this suggest-a-bounty bounty is your opportunity to contribute to the bounties on Just About Tech. To maximise your chances of winning, explain your concept clearly - including how entries would be verified and judged.

We love to see bounties that use different formats, not just the written word. So if you have any ideas for image bounties, video bounties, or any other interesting format, your entry may get some suggest-a-bounty bonus points! Use at least 50 words or however many you need to ensure your idea is clear and you can win $3. If you have more than one idea, you're more than welcome to submit multiple in your entry!

Oooh. Okay this one might be a bit of effort but I think it could be fun!

Create a 5 minute Tech Tutorial Video.

So you will need to create a 5 minute tutorial video on a tech related topic of your choice. This could range from a quick guide on a popular software, an intro to coding or a demonstration of a useful tech hack. It can even be a walk through of how to use a device. The goal is to provide a clear, concise and educational content that can help others learn something new in the tech world.

I feel like this can encourage creativity, practical skills and knowledge sharing within the tech community. It also opens up the bounty to a wider range of participants by doing video submissions- which can be more engaging than text based submissions!

"If you had to use one piece of tech for the rest of your life was that not your phone or laptop, what would it be and why?"

"If you could never use the internet for a year for 5 million pounds, what would your answer be and why"

I think exploring people's relationship with technology would be quite useful here, some thought provoking questions are better to get people thinking what an alternate world would be like. Verifying people's responses would be exploring their written submissions to make sure they are not AI based, and that people explain reasons for their answer in 100 words or more of detail

Using Ordinary Things in Unusual Ways!

My bounty idea is to use everyday items in unexpected, tech-related ways. This involves DIY adjustments or clever uses of technology outside its original purpose. This could potentially be split into two separate bounties. For example, use your robotic lawnmower to deliver a coffee mug to the sunbed by the pool.

Make your favourite tech better!

We all have that piece of gadget which we love but it's missing some function, doesn't have enough buttons, has the wrong cable etc. So tell us if you were the designer of that product, how would you change it to make it even better than it already is. Bonus points if you also present us with a new blueprint or image showcasing your features. Yes a stick figure drawing in Paint counts!
