I would love to see a bounty asking people about where they genuinely believe AI can be adapted into daily life in the next decade without treading the same ideas that already exist (e.g improvements to home assistants or replacing/disrupting creative work).

it feels like a lot of people don’t fully understand AI, on both sides of the fence, so it’s interesting to start gauging where people thing the future of the tech is

Winning results are those with the most creative yet realistic ideas that propose a genuine improvement to daily life whether that’s for the typical person or as an accessibility idea for those in need.

  • When has technology hindered you?
(for me I cannot write neatly or for a long time anymore considering 90% of my writing is on a keyboard)

  • What technology do you wish was more accessible to people or cheaper?

  • Physical or digital photos - which do you prefer?

  • Could be a cross-post with Music or Film/TV - do you think technology has made creating music/movies/ art too easy?

I have a couple ideas for this,

  • Review a piece of tech giving your opinion and a rating.

  • Compare / contrast a piece of tech you are upgrading.

  • Tell us what piece of tech you would buy, if money was not a factor.

  • What is a piece of tech that you could not libe without ?

  • What piece of tech makes your streaming life that much easier ?

(Added a few more as I was writing)

I have done a few of these recently so had the ideas to hand, the others are just interesting !

We're seeing the return of polaroids, vinyls, cassettes, and the growing calls about the importance of physical media in games, I think a great bounty would be trying to predict what's the next old tech that will be making a big comeback.

  • Which are best 2FA Authenticator apps?
They all do basically the same thing, but are some better than others? Do some of them offer more features than the basic Google?

  • Do you use Password Managers?
Phones and browsers can store your passwords quite well these days. Do you still use a separate Password Manager app? Is it a paid one with extra features or is free good enough?

I admit this all sounds a bit basic but I know I'd read through all the replies to see if there's something better out there than what I'm using. I think security-focused bounties could be really interesting reads.

Accessibility in gaming has seen a huge surge in support over recent years, aiming to make gaming a more inclusive medium for all. Tell us about the best piece of Adaptive Gaming Equipment you've come across and briefly outline how it works.

There's a bounty at present about creating an advert for fictional tech, but what about:

Find a piece of tech you feel if completely pointless and say why

  • How has technology changed your life?

  • What was the last tech failure you had?

  • What's the most underrated gadget you own?

  • Name a product that deserves a follow-up and tell us why.

  • What's the best advice you have for anyone shopping for [product]?

How about to :

  • review of old tech that you have?

  • What is the best tech you have this year?

  • Tips and tricks for choosing the right tech for you?

Praise the Engineering and DIY!

I love disassembling things, and I want you to try it too! The idea for this bounty is simple: disassemble something, take photos or videos of the internal parts, and explain what you learned about how it works. Choose an item that is meaningful and not intended for regular user servicing or access. It could be some old tech to avoid voiding warranties. Just make sure it's more involved than removing a single screw to access the drive compartments on your video console or laptop.

Let's dive deep into the inner workings of our devices!

Okay!

  1. Showcase your setups (Awards depending on style, clean work area etc)

  2. Show the best photo you have taken with your phone

  3. What is the worst gadget you own and why did you buy it?

  4. If you could change one pice of tech, what would it be and why for the better?

Just a few off the top of my head.

Make your favourite tech better!

We all have that piece of gadget which we love but it's missing some function, doesn't have enough buttons, has the wrong cable etc. So tell us if you were the designer of that product, how would you change it to make it even better than it already is. Bonus points if you also present us with a new blueprint or image showcasing your features. Yes a stick figure drawing in Paint counts!

What tech did you regret buying? - use at least 50 words

What new feature would you like to see in the next version of your favourite tech? - use at least 100 words bonus if you can illustrate it

Share a tech that was used for a different purpose than it's initial intended use.

Share your favourite memory of getting some tech? use at least 100 words explaining what it meant to you.

Make a new tech advert for your favourite tech. Format - images

Tech ASMR - create a asmr video using a piece of unusual tech - the more unusual the better.

Using Ordinary Things in Unusual Ways!

My bounty idea is to use everyday items in unexpected, tech-related ways. This involves DIY adjustments or clever uses of technology outside its original purpose. This could potentially be split into two separate bounties. For example, use your robotic lawnmower to deliver a coffee mug to the sunbed by the pool.

"If you had to use one piece of tech for the rest of your life was that not your phone or laptop, what would it be and why?"

"If you could never use the internet for a year for 5 million pounds, what would your answer be and why"

I think exploring people's relationship with technology would be quite useful here, some thought provoking questions are better to get people thinking what an alternate world would be like. Verifying people's responses would be exploring their written submissions to make sure they are not AI based, and that people explain reasons for their answer in 100 words or more of detail

Oooh. Okay this one might be a bit of effort but I think it could be fun!

Create a 5 minute Tech Tutorial Video.

So you will need to create a 5 minute tutorial video on a tech related topic of your choice. This could range from a quick guide on a popular software, an intro to coding or a demonstration of a useful tech hack. It can even be a walk through of how to use a device. The goal is to provide a clear, concise and educational content that can help others learn something new in the tech world.

I feel like this can encourage creativity, practical skills and knowledge sharing within the tech community. It also opens up the bounty to a wider range of participants by doing video submissions- which can be more engaging than text based submissions!
