Pretty sure the power bank for five full phone charges is 5 times smaller and lighter than this device.

And if we are talking about weeks of remote use, foldable solar panels and a power bank to store collected energy would be better.

Yeah I think the logical thing to do is hook up power storage to devices like this for sure. Will say, if you're stationary camped and bad weather, having the constant low level power output during the night is a nice piece of mind step to take. You want solar, wind, and storage for what's created.

I lived on the road quite some time and I always felt better having both.

I've got a great little fold out solar panel made to hook onto a backpack. It is surprisingly powerful. With such a small USB inverter.

When I lived in my RV full time I had a dual controller for solar and wind. It was pretty sweet.
