My gaming laptop kicked the bucket this weekend, so I'm going to order a replacement tonight. I was neck-deep in reviews and Reddit posts last night, and then I remembered I had just the helpful community to ask!
My current frontrunner is the the Acer Nitro 16 (AMD Ryzen 7, RTX 4060, 1 TB SSD), which at £1,200 is a little more expensive than I'd like but is well reviewed. Redditors aren't fond of Acer laptops, saying they're not built to last, but Redditors aren't known for being fond of things.
Top priorities for me:
Can smoothly handle high-res photo-editing
Can comfortably run most games (I'm not super fussed about the latest 3D triple As)
A 16-inch, high-quality screen
A HDMI port
Not too heavy
A decent battery life and keyboard
🙏
