With the new Fantasy Finds DLC, Two Point Museum gives us another perilous place to send our Experts: Scorched Earth!
From early glimpses, the new expedition map looks just as vibrant and full of personality as those in the base game, and we want you to create some fan art that truly brings one of its locations to life. For this reward, please create a picture depicting one of the locations in Scorched Earth in full detail.
Here are the rules:
The subject of your piece must be a location on the new expedition map, Scorched Earth, from Fantasy Finds. Be sure to tell us which! Take your cues from what you see on the map and use your imagination to fill in the blanks as you create a beautiful, fully realised depiction of your chosen spot. Perhaps some of its fantastical inhabitants are hanging around?
A nice landscape is very welcome, but you can create any kind of art as long as it's a picture with a clear link to a location in Scorched Earth, and use any medium - paint, digital art, sketching, it's all good. Your actual submission should be a video or an image/photo of your work, submitted through social media.
Your piece should be compatible with what you see in-game, especially the map itself and the icons representing each point of interest. You can (and should!) expand on these in your piece, but please don't contradict them.
Your piece should also be recognisable as inspired by Two Point Museum. Include NPCs or exhibits from the game, imitate its art style, its colour palette, or its humour.
You may not use generative AI, and to prove that you haven't, please include at least one additional image of your piece in an unfinished state so we can understand your process. If your work shows signs of having used AI and your work-in-progress image doesn't allay those suspicions, your submission is still at risk of rejection!
Provided we receive submissions of sufficient quality, the winning entry will receive $100, second place gets $60, third gets $30, and up to ten runners-up may receive $15 apiece. Please note that the quality bar will be high, especially for the top prizes, so pull out all the stops! This is a time-limited reward with a podium finish that will only close and be judged on Friday, August 8.
