It’s a Wonderful Life

This is a rough question because there are so many absolutely brilliant films. New ones like Klaus and That Christmas are instant classics and then ones from my childhood like Elf and Polar Express that will always mean something to me and my official runner up would be Muppets Christmas Carol and I could talk so much about this film. BUT I do think objectively, the best Christmas film of all time is Its a Wonderful Life.

It moves so quickly for a relatively longer film, Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed are captivating in their roles. You absolutely fall in love with them and feel so much for George Bailey’s troubles as he sacrifices the life he dreamed of for others until he eventually reaps the rewards for his selflessness. Beautiful film. I recommend it to anyone

When my son was born, we bought a smart baby monitor which meant we could watch the monitor using our phones, which was brilliant. Stupidly, I would leave it on all night with my phone plugged in. After a couple of months, my phone burnt out the WiFi component and I couldn’t connect at all. The geniuses at Apple couldn’t figure out what had happened 🤦🏼‍♂️

Bluey!

This may not be the best submission but I wanted to be the first and it’s definitely correct! Bluey is the most heartwarming, tear jerking, gripping and funny kids show.. possibly ever made. The long form episode that the released at the end of the 3rd series is genuinely one of the most emotional episodes on TV.

Guys, gals, non binary pals, moderator and judges of this bounty. Bluey is the right answer.

First gig I ever went to was Westlife - World of Our Own!

I wasn’t told I was going and didn’t really know what a concert was so I spent the whole train journey to London being talked to about Westlife. I didn’t know what that meant but I did notice the little smiles and laughs that my family had between themselves at my expense.

It was actually a pretty good gig and Mark McFadden got stuck upside down on a wire with pyros shooting upwards. Would recommend 😂

Shadow of the wind - Carlos Ruiz Zafon

This is one of my favourite books ever despite the fact that the sequels are very disappointing, the first is still a fantastic read.

A story about a young boy and his bookseller father who protect books that have been forgotten by the public. When the young boy picks a book to protect, he ends up getting entangled in the history of the book. A great read for book fans and people who like Barcelona

I know this is going to sound awful on a music board but I don’t think I’ve ever bought an album! So I’m going to have to answer with the first one I ever asked for and received as a present and it’s a doozy..

Christina Aguilera - Christina Aguilera

I can honestly say I have no idea why I wanted this, I saw an advert one day on television as a kid and decided this was what I wanted. I don’t think I even owned a CD player so I probably just expected to listen in my parents car or my siblings bedrooms. It was probably Genie In A Bottle that drew my attention to Miss Christina and truthfully, it still slaps.. as does What A Girl Wants. Obviously my tastes have changed slightly but this is the one that started it all 😂
