The most definitive proof yet comes from a tweeted photo of cardboard boxes showing a Monster Energy tie-in. The tweet (or X?) has been deleted, but Sixth Axis got the screengrab, and now the official Call of Duty twitter account is having some fun with it:

I may give it a go. I've always preferred Hardcore mode because I seem to get to the shot early, which works there. Otherwise, I spray all over the place and end up being crouched over by someone that's better at games than me (which is unacceptable).
The original was superb, one of the last great CoD games. Im not a huge fan of what has happened to the franchise lately.
I really liked the original MW3. I still think of myself as a COD player and keep meaning to at least finish the campaign for each annual release, but it's been several years since I actually have. Which, yeah, probably says a bit about its trajectory.
