Superbike 2000 by EA Sports. Primarily because I wrote it. :D (Not joking) I also contributed to DJ Hero, so that's a close second.

Those aside, Sanxion by Rob Hubbard.

That's awesome! I'm gonna look up the Superbike soundtrack now.

I remember when I was on a uni ski trip, a few friends and I walked into a fast food place in a French ski resort where one of the staff was playing DJ Hero, and while he went to serve us my friend just walked up to his console, started playing, and ruined his campaign. I think he thought it was for public use.

Fallout: New Vegas

I never even played the game, just spent countless hours on the sofa watching my university housemate play on a projector we had set up. This question immediately took me back there after more than 10 years, so I choose Fallout: New Vegas and Johnny Guitar.

Incredible shout, that's definitely in my top three soundtracks. Big Iron even made it into my own Spotify playlist, it is nothing short of a pure bop. Ain't That A Kick In The Head, Jingle Jangle Jingle, Heartaches By The Number... all the modern Fallout games have phenomenal licensed soundtracks to be honest. Fallout 76 even had some of the best - Mr. Sandman!

You meant to ask which soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu right? (Yes it's me again talking about Final Fantasy) Let's face it, he's one of the greatest composers of our time. Well it has to be One Winged Angel from Final Fantasy VII. Whenever I hear it I have to turn the volume to maximum, absolutely love the energy of it.

I had the pleasure to hear this song live performed by the orchestra in the Royal Albert Hall during the Distant Worlds tour. They keep changing the setlist as there are so many good track from the games, but One Winged Angel is one of the 2 tracks which has to be part of every performance, as requested by Nobuo Uematsu when Distant Worlds was launched.

I have a friend who is teaching classical music, she knows nothing about video games, but she heard about Final Fantasy because of the music.

Too many to choose from Nobuo Uematsu! One-Winged Angel is awesome, obviously, but if the question is the best video game soundtrack overall I think FFVIII and FFIX are stronger. Melodies of Life is amazing.

Very jealous you've seen Distant Worlds, that's so cool, I listen to them often. What's the other track that always gets played?

I was very lucky, got the tickets through my employer at the time. The other one is Zanarkand from FFX. Indeed it's very hard to choose from, I love Melodies of Life too, but I think I have a soft spot for FFVII as it was the first FF game I played. Answers from FFXIV is very close behind on my list.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

There's SO many soundtracks to pick from, but i've recently started replaying the gamecube version of Ocarina of Time and the music brings back so much nostalgia for me. It's fun, it's emotive, it helps tell the story.

From when you first launch the game and hear the Kokiri Forest theme, to fighting Ganon in the final throws of the game, every piece of music fits it's scene well and helps tie the game together perfectly.

All in all my favourite game soundtrack of all time and definitely one that's worth a listen for anyone who's not played through the game!

(Also, honourable mention to Burnout Paradise. That game has a BANGER set of songs to drift around and jam to!)

Parapa the rapper on PS1. Pretty unique and bizarre game at the time with a really catchy soundtrack. Kick, punch it's all in the mind!

Plus it has this really cringy advert...

God I love PaRappa The Rapper. You've put the dojo song straight into my head - the driving instructor song too is another banger.
