"Sources familiar with the event" tell Windows Central that James Corden interviewed Activision CEO Bobby Kotick at an internal townhall meeting, at which Kotick name-checked Guitar Hero, hinting at a revival of the series.
That was the headline for me, in any case, but the meeting was probably occasioned by the ongoing Microsoft acquisition of Activision, which is expected to close soon. According to Windows Central, Kotick didn't say much about that, but lauded Microsoft's resources and waxed lyrical about the future of tech. I've seen speculation from secondary reports that it was all a morale-boosting exercise as the acquisition completes. Which makes James Corden an especially baffling choice of host.
