My personal favorite superhero game (and is a bit of an oldie) has to be "Batman: Arkham Asylum"

This game absolutely nails 4 things for me that I love in every game:

Story, Gameplay, Atmosphere and most of all, Character.

Almost everything in the game was tastefully done, combining the best of retro and modern games - Retro elements, and modern game mechanics

The game's atmosphere, combined with a fantastic narrator's voice (The narrators voice makes a massive difference) makes for an immersive game, whilst the combat, may I say, for its time, is probably the best out there that I've seen!

The storyline was great, combined with the fun little detective work games that were strewn into the gameplay keeps things fresh and compelling whilst the iconic and memorable characters really do catch on (Thanks Barbara for your help! Or should I say, Oracle)

The only minor let down for this game that I found were that battles (Mainly boss battles) ended up quite repetitive, that even a Dark Souls player might cry.

All in all, this game was fantastic for its time, for both retro lovers and modern ones too!

OK hear me out, because the default answer here is going to be Spider-man and it is a masterpiece but I'm here to campaign for the absolute narrative supremecy of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Sure the gameplay is a little off kilter, but the banter between the cast is incredible and the storyline perfectly captures the characters. I've never had so many giggles just walking around in a videogame.

It deserves so, so much more love than it actually got and I hope so hard that there's another in the works ❤️
