Which year did you join the PlayStation family? 1994 for me! (I got my PlayStation after launch so not sure the exact year but I feel it was between 95 - 97 timeframe!) 🎮👌

I think I got a PS1 for Christmas in 1998, with TOCA 2 (which was really hard!)
It actually didn't get loads of use because the next year I got a Dreamcast, but I still love the PS1. It had such a distinctive personality, with games like PaRappa and Wipeout.
I've owned every PlayStation home console and I've liked them all, although I do think a lot of that original charm and idiosyncracy has kind of faded. Still, the PS5 is a great and the decision to get one over an Xbox was easy for me, personally. All they had to do was say Demon's Souls and I was in!
2007, bought the PS2 slim from my first salary with FFXII. Bit late to the party but I never had real consoles growing up as they were too expensive. Still remember all the yelling I got for wasting my money on it 😂

In the summer of 1999, I bought a PlayStation with WWF Attitude.
So I had from Ps1 to Ps4 and I think it was called PsVita was it? But then I kinda went to Pc Gaming lol
MEEEEEEEE! I'd definetly say "past" more than "present" since I got a PC, but PlayStation has basically been the one constant in my gaming life since I was a child. Nothing beat coming home from a rubbish day at school, knowing I could just throw on the PlayStation and forget it all.
The only PlayStation that didn't satisfy me was the PS3. I had 3 of them over the course of a few years and they always broke instantly, for that point in my life I favoured the Xbox 360 personally; but since then things have only improved thankfully.
I miss the day of just throwing on the PS5, I should make a point to play a PlayStation game every week just to stop it sitting gathering dust, but my Baldurs Gate addiction is... crippling
aww I am loving all these replies and the nostalgic love for whatever pkaystations you have or had! Do any of you ever watch documentaries on YouTube about any of systems you had? As I am thinking about doing a series like this on my PlayStation YouTube channel looking back at the story of the old systems or games or something like that!
The closest thing to that I've watched is console-specific Digital Foundry videos. They did one where he played every single 32X game, and I think one where he talked about all the launch titles for the PS1. I would be interested in watching documentaries on each PlayStation console for sure
