April Fool's Day is but a few days away, and we're feeling mischievous. We want you to tell us about the video games that managed to fool you.
What does 'fooling' mean? We're applying a loose definition: we want any moment in any video game that's inverted or subverted your expectations, led you to assume one thing only to hit you with another, changed its own set of rules or even its whole genre halfway through, or otherwise surprised you by wrongfooting you. Ordinary surprises don't count - they have to be specifically unexpected. Plenty of games do this - you could probably fill this list with Kojima's work alone.
Important: please use the spoiler box to hide your shock twist, especially if you're referencing a recent game, and tell us the game you're submitting outside of said box so folks who haven't played it yet know to avoid your spoiler. The best 12 submissions get $2 apiece!
