When Tails of Iron came out in 2021 I was excited purely because of the art style but the whole game came together in a really gorgeous way.
Narrated by none other than Geralt himself, Doug Cockle, this fairytale RPG adventure comes to life as if Geralt is reading Ciri a bed time story.
You follow the tale of Redgi who's family's kingdom is overthrown and it's down to you to reclaim it.
That's just the gist of it, but the reason for the post was the announcement of the sequel!
Following a different storyline but in the same universe, I'm so thrilled for this! The tale of Redgi in the first game was great, and whilst I wanted a second game it was difficult to see how they could make a second game following more of Redgi's adventures so creating a new character and going down that route seems the far more sensible thing to do.
Not content with releasing a sequel, they also did a free expansion for the first game as part of the announcement!
At £21.99 for the first game it might put people off but this always goes on sale (usually for less than £5!) and it's a real gem in the metroidvania genre.
