ME! I've been playing on PC alone for years on and off. I love the sense of adventure and just sailing around from island to island.
It's such a fun game to just 'do nothing' in and seeing what shenanigans crop up naturally.
exactly, and even tho the graphics are cartoon like i love the vibrant colors really feels happy and alive. The sunsets are a whole other thing... perfect
So I tried this with two team members and they got very cross with me because i kept jumping off the ship or picking fights with other people or just running off exploring xD
Aha! But the chaos, rascality, and miscommunications are all part of the fun!
I did attempt to explain this... They were not amused xD
I mean i do get frustrated when getting even a small haul then other players come and 'pirate' me. But i don't blame them, It's called 'sea of thieves' :D not sea of friends. hahaha. But it is good fun hiding in people's ship and causing mayhem.
I think it was more like the fact I'd just see another boat n ram ours into it and jump on board like "TIME TO DIE PEOPLE" and then get owned xD

Sea of Thieves is a lot of fun with friends! I like that you get to be on the same ship, that you can play shanties with instruments... and c'mon, it's fun to get a little tipsy! lol. I actually prefer SOT over the newer Skull and Bones for those reasons.
I've been a big fan of the sea shanty ever since Black Flag, and now I just listen to them for fun. How did you find Skull and Bones?
Sea shanties are definitely a common occurrence in our household! Skull and Bones had pros and cons like most games... It's a lot more like Battleship in my opinion. I wasn't a fan of not being able to play with others as part of the same crew on the same boat, you more so are interacting as an alliance/fleet with others on your own ship. My husband got a lot more into it than I did. I was hoping for more of a realistic graphic Sea of Thieves vibe. Basically, my personal preferences made it difficult to get into the game, but it IS definitely worth giving it a chance!
Thanks! That's very helpful and matches what I've read about it. I saw that it got a lot of criticism for not allowing players to swim too. If I find some time before the Black Flag remake, I'll give it a go!
P.S. You may not be an EVE Online player, but there may or may not be an upcoming 'write a sea shanty' bounty. You didn't hear it from me 🤐
