I played a lot of Valheim when it first came out. It really made me fall in love with the survival genre. I haven't played the last two DLCs, but it's definitely a game I plan to return to!

DLC?! ahh noooo WHY in the name of BOB does it need to have DLCs.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

They're free DLCs though, and the devs have committed to ensuring all DLCs are forever free.

Let the MET be flowing sometimes people stick to what they do.

Vikings for Vikings, DLC for DLC.

Come on, let's play, just trying to enter Ashland is already really exciting, you know!!!

is it finished? or still EA/ Bata etc?

I hate EA Games.... there are unfinished and they even tell you that. EA has the balls to lie at you at least :P

Still in

In it's defence, you can scoop it up for $10 right now, and it's a very fleshed out game considering the price!

I own it already, i had a server in the beginning. I have saw the dessert with out content.

I was there.

Early access is a wonderful invention for gaming studios that wish to shape the final product together with their clients. It's a very agile model where end consumers can influence the game and get what they actually want. Meanwhile, developers can deliver the right product, receive additional funding, hire more people, and complete the project.

If you have the urge to buy everything and then get unhappy because it's not a finished product, you can filter out early-access games in the store settings.

Agreed. Fully agreed. Early Access changed the game for the better, not worse.

Ashlands is in my pipeline, but my guess - Frostner is still the answer to everything =) I facerolled whole Mistlands with it!

Interesting, I haven't tried fighting using the elemental counter yet. Maybe I'll try it after trying speedrun against the boss using Refined Eitr

Haven't gotten that far yet personally. Last time I was on I remember mostly focusing on building a primo great hall with all the trimmings! :D I used to stream it but I fall out of streaming a lot so I haven't touched it in a few.

I think the build feature in Valheim is very good, it's rare for games to provide a free build feature like Valheim

This will be a great game if played with your friends, and not only that, this game also has an official discord community which I think is very friendly

I too played a lot when it first came out. I reached the 4th biome I think at the time was the furthest you can go but I didn’t defeat that boss. I stopped there and haven’t actually tried the new content. I loved the feeling it gave when exploring. Sailing to new lands for the first time feels like a great achievement. If anyone wants to play together or make content just hit me up on steam. I go by the same name. I mostly play alone, I have no friends 🤣

I haven't played it but I keep meaning to. The problem I have is Il think about getting it, then another survival game is released and il get burnt out on them. Leaving Valheim in my wish list.
