PUBG publisher acquires Tango Gameworks and Hi-Fi Rush

Tango Gameworks and Hi-Fi Rush acquired by PUBG's Krafton, following Microsoft's studio closure in May

PUBG publisher Krafton has acquired developer Tango Gameworks and Hi-Fi Rush, marking its first "significant investment" in the Japanese video game market.

After Microsoft closed Tango Gameworks back in May - followed mere days later by Xbox exec Matt Booty saying "we need smaller games that give us prestige and awards" exactly like Tango's smash hit Hi-Fi Rush - there might just be a happy ending for the studio. PUBG publisher Krafton has now acquired Tango and the rights to the Hi-Fi Rush IP in which it intends to "explore future projects", according to its press release.
