As we discussed earlier, my current focus is on indie game studios. I’m committed to using my skills and resources to give them the spotlight they deserve. Meeting with these teams is always a pleasure because they are so passionate about what they’re creating, and their enthusiasm and vision are truly energizing. This is probably the best part of my job as a journalist.
Today, I want to introduce a project by two brothers, Marvin Hegen and Raphael Parr, from Kissaki Studios. Their game, Mindbug, is particularly intriguing - it started as a physical card project, and this fall, they're bringing it to the digital realm. What makes it even more fascinating is that the game design was co-created with Richard Garfield, the creator of Magic: The Gathering.
In a nutshell: Imagine MTG meets UNO and they have a baby. Mindbug offers deep strategy, but unlike standard card collectors, you only need a single set of cards to play. While the game is initially designed as 1v1, like in MTG, you can implement different play modes, such as 2v2 or "Two-Headed Giant".
