The Moogle Treasure Trove event which I wrote about last week is not the only entertainment you can get before the release of Patch 7.1 sometime mid-November. FFXIV has many seasonal event themed after real life celebrations and the spooky season is no exception! All Saints' Wake is on until 4th November.
If you have been participating in the event over the last couple of years you will meet some familiar faces among the event NPCs, but if this is your first spooky season in Eorzea don't worry, you will be introduced to the key figures of the event and won't feel like you've missed out on too much story.
There were a few complains about seasonal event rewards as for some people felt like they were not worthy of the effort to engage in idle conversations and solve the problems of the locals, but I think this year's event reward outfit is absolutely stunning, check it out on the official event page:
But if you ask nicely, I can get my catgirl to model it for you ;)
The thing what I love the most about this event is a feature which has been around a couple of years now and returns every year: the Sneaky Hollow. It's a nicely decorated house and garden with all your spooky season essentials, pumpkins, lanterns, spider webs and all that. And if you speak with the local imps, they will turn you into well known NPCs from all the expansions from A Realm Reborn all the way to Endwalker. I was hoping it will get extended with NPCs from Dawntrail, but as we still have MSQ to do in the upcoming patches, maybe it will be added at a later event, when the expansion's story has been concluded.
But to give you a little peak into what is awaiting you, here is my roleplay session from last year with my partner:
So if you ever wanted your NPC crush to throw kisses at you, this is your chance, just need to convince a friend to transform into them,

But we were not left without new adventures, as this year we also got to visit the Haunted Manor. If you have done the Haukke Manor dungeon, than this location will be familiar to you, but now it's dressed in full spooky season glory. Find yourself some pumpkin lanterns to join you for tea:

Anyway, what is it going to be, trick or treat?
