Over this last weekend, PlayStation gamers struggled to connect to Sony's online platform the Playstation Network (PSN). Frustrated gamers were unable to access online games such as Fortnite, COD, and FIFA.
As compensation Sony has announced compensation for the down-time in the form of 5 free days of service for PlayStation Plus members.
Is this enough? One redditor thinks so:
For me, a yearly $160 PS Plus Premium sub comes to less than $0.02 per hour (0.018 or something). Compensation for a full 24 hours would be $0.48.
Per item 13 of the PSN Terms of Service, they don't have to compensate us for downtime at all. Giving us 5 days of service is about as good as we could get.
I'm highly inclined to agree given the math of the matter but it is still very annoying for those that wanted to relax with a game over the weekend especially with the new Monster Hunter Beta.
What do people think should be the default compensation method when services go down? Or should there be any compensation? Doesn't seem to be when my internet provider goes down or mobile
