Fantastic! Have you made games or it this something you want to get into in the future?

I'd love to hear any top tips you come away with 🙂

"Is there a still a place for me in the games industry" with Sara Machado. I was excited to the talk as I want to become a full time games dev but with the massive size of the industry I worry that any of my work won't be reconsided.

How was the talk? I had a quick chat with Sara last year and she's so insightful and supportive! 😊

It was great! And very inspiring to me!

I will be seeing the talk: Peaceful and non-violent games -- I love hearing about more games that aren't just about guns and killing people.

Love that about the indie game scene. You should check out the coziest game bounty, it could be right up your street: https://justabout.com/wasd/35222/make-a-tiktok-introducing-the-cosiest-game-youve-seen-at-wasd-2024

There are some great non-violent games here 😀

We stopped for a few minutes to listen for a few minutes at this one so not sure if this counts :)

I'm also hoping to see the talk about peaceful and non violent video games

I actually did my dissertation on the impact of blood and play persepective (First person/third person) on someones aggression levels whilst playing a violent video game. I never found a strong correlation but im interested in heraing about things from the other perspective

I could only attend one:

Switch off and relax: peaceful and non violent games, by Rosie Taylor, Andrew Brennwald.

I love indie games, but the ones I find are usually horror, thrillers, or touching very heavy themes, so it's good to look for more peaceful options 😊
