TikTok are scrapping their old Creator Fund in December, and they'll be introducing the new Creativity Program beta.
Creators using the old system said it didn't really pay out much (per 1,000 views), and TikTok believe this new program will pay up to 20 times as much.
This might sound appealing, but TikTok are also making a push towards livestreams and longer forms of content, meaning creators need to work harder to hit those view requirements.
Should platforms use their position to guide creators towards specific content formats, or is it better to simply acknowledge and reward what is already being created?
